We’re hiring for a Management Accountant on a 12 month FTC  to join our growing finance  team

To keep up with our growth in the UK and Ireland, we’re looking for a Management Accountant to support in transforming the financial operations within NFP Ireland as the company continues to grow. You will assist the Financial Controller and the wider Ireland finance team in insourcing the accounting for a new acquisition, assisting with the integration of all aspects of accounting activity.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Degree level or equivalent educational qualifications.
  • Full accounting qualifications with 3 years’ experience in financial services
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Experience with accounting software such as Workday, Oracle or SAP, is an advantage but not a necessity.
  • Advance excel capabilities & willing to develop these as required.
  • Experience working towards tight deadlines in a fast paced financial services organisation.
  • Proven business partnering skills.

Using your skills, you will be:

  • Producing and reconciling monthly management accounts (P&L and Balance Sheet), investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Managing the month-end close process and delivering accurate, timely internal and Group reporting in line with deadlines.
  • Analysing financial performance through variance analysis against budgets and forecasts, providing clear and actionable insights.
  • Overseeing monthly provisions and the bad debt process, collaborating with business leaders and presenting recommendations to the Financial Controller.
  • Maintaining accurate accrued income balances with robust reconciliations, clear variance explanations, and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Partnering with the Managing Director to understand business performance, providing insightful analysis, commentary, and decision support.
  • Managing and reconciling bank accounts, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Supporting year-end audit processes, preparing audit schedules, and assisting wider team requirements.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of financial policies and ensuring adherence across the business.
  • Supporting the annual budgeting process, providing analysis and insight into key year-on-year movements.
  • Strengthening financial controls by supporting, managing, and constructively challenging existing processes.
  • Delivering monthly income reporting, reconciliations, and forecasting.
  • Driving continuous improvement through automation, simplification, standardisation, and scalability initiatives.
  • Supporting the Financial Controller in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of statutory accounts, taking ownership of key processes.
  • Coordinating the statutory audit process for your business line.
  • Preparing and posting audit adjustment journals.
  • Assisting with internal audit activities.
  • Supporting the preparation of regulatory and tax submissions (including CBI returns, VAT, and Corporation Tax), ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Contributing to wider compliance activities across the business.
  • Supporting the Financial Controller in driving integration and efficiency across finance systems and processes.
  • Assisting with bringing management accounts in-house and streamlining banking providers.
  • Contributing to ad-hoc transformation and improvement projects.
