Premier fitness facility

Tallaght, Dublin

Key outcomes

  • Increased workforce engagement and safety ownership
  • Improved safety compliance and audit performance
  • Reduction in lost time incidents
  • Ongoing insurance cost savings

The challenge

Westpark Fitness is an award-winning, premier fitness facility located in Tallaght, Dublin 24, offering state-of-the-art equipment, classes, and technology in a high-footfall environment.

The club has consistently prioritised workplace culture and the well-being of its staff and customers. However, in a busy fitness environment, senior leadership recognised that traditional, compliance-led approaches to health and safety were insufficient to engage staff or meaningfully reduce incidents.

Dr. Paul Cummins, PhD.
CEO of SeaChange, an NFP company

The solution

Westpark Fitness partnered with SeaChange, an NFP company, to implement a tailored programme that combined three complementary solutions:

  • Safety Culture Pro Partnership
Westpark Fitness received a site-specific risk assessment, core compliance support, visual risk awareness tools, and Champion training to lead safety culture onsite. They were provided proactive KPI tracking and improved reporting, enabling stronger legal defensibility. Annual Safety Culture (SABRE©) audits permitted ongoing benchmarking and continuous improvement.
  • Slip, trip and fall prevention system
The facility was zoned and staff were trained to carry out CAYGO© checks throughout the day using handheld devices. Automated scheduling ensured consistency, while NFC location tagging verified that checks were completed correctly.
  • Safety check and inspection system
Paper-based checks were digitised through SeaChange’s Safety Check and Inspection system. Customised scheduling and NFC tagging ensured accurate data capture, improved compliance and visibility of corrective actions.
